First I was awoken with a rapping, tapping at my chamber door. It was these two, at 4:30am. With a tip from a few sources there was a deal going on at DSW shoe store for the first 300 customers, to get a free pair of shoes. With the option of buying a shoe and being able to return and get a store credit and pick out any shoe in the store, even the $300 pairs.
I thought... yes I was in the middle of a really good dream and yes i worked all day but hey, free shoes? Why not! So we made our way half asleep to DSW and found our home for the next 4 hours, on two camping chairs some snacks and a whole lot of time!
We met a few cool people and had a really good time actually (this is us, yes i am really this pale 'yes i know its sad') We chatted we got free stuff in line fun fun fun but we had our fingers crossed because at 9am they were going to open the doors to the first 50 people and continue to let everyone in by the 50's... well we were hoping to be in the first 50 so we would have a chance at the $300 dollar shoes!
Well as it turns out we made customer 53 and 54 so we were second round... and of course the 300 dollar pairs were gone, but no fear we found a couple of 160 dollar shoes and i dont think we even looked at the size or style we just grabbed it up and left. We will be returning for a store credit and getting a couple of new shoes next week! thats our story! yay!
